Do you want Jesus on call?

If Jesus always agrees with you,

if His words never wound your pride or confront your preferences,

then He is not your Lord—

He’s just your favorite spiritual influencer,

a curated voice in your echo chamber,

more mascot than Master, more brand than King.

If you only follow Him when it’s trending—

when the crowd claps,

when the sermons are polished and the hashtags holy—

then He is not your Lord.

He’s just your aesthetic.

A vibe.

A cross on your necklace,

but not one on your back.

If you only call on Him in crisis—

when the walls cave in and your heart is unraveling— but ignore Him in the quiet, in the choosing, in the daily—

then He is not your Lord.

He’s just your personal assistant.

You want Him on call, not on the throne.

You want His hand, but not His heart.

His rescue, but not His reign.

But the real Jesus—

the Lion, the Lamb, the Lord of Glory—

He does not come to be accessorized.

He comes to be worshiped.

He will not be reduced to a vibe or summoned like a servant.

He is not the shadow of your will—

He is the Sovereign who shapes it.

He is not your echo—

He is your authority.

And yes, He is gentle.

Yes, He is kind.

But He is also consuming fire,

calling every part of you—every dream, desire, agenda, and excuse—

to lay at His feet.

To follow Him is to die daily.

To love Him is to obey Him.

To know Him is to be undone and remade.

So if your Jesus never challenges you,

never convicts you,

never costs you anything—

then maybe you’ve mistaken His name

for your own reflection.

But oh, the wonder—

when He truly becomes your Lord.

Not just in word,

but in every wound He heals,

every idol He topples,

every hidden place He invades with light.

There, you find life.

There, you find joy.

There, you find Him.

Not as a trend, not as an aesthetic, not as a helper— but as the Risen King who conquered death and claims every inch of your heart.

God never hurries

I’m not behind
