Everything Ends

Psalms 103:15-17

“As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth.

For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children;”

Everything ends.

Except the FINISHED work of Calvary, that is eternal, making my salvation eternal.

But everything else, ends.

Weather changes.

It cannot storm forever.

Noah, who rode through the greatest storm, saw the rain cease and dry ground appear again.

You will not face the continuous beating of a storm, it will change.

All storms break.

You cannot live a life continuously in the rain.

Nor can you live a life continually in the sun.

It will come to pass that the season will end, and a new one is ushered in.

Seasons can feel very permanent.

As if you will always have to fight the beating winds and the torrents of rain.

But seasons are just that…seasons.

Temporary.

They have to end.

Because the Master says so.

And though he seems to have forgotten about you, in this season, he has not.

It will end.

His watch is just different than yours

One day you’ll be on the other side.

This dark season will be over with.

And you’ll look back on the season that you thought God really could’ve done things on a better timeline, and you’ll realize, “God, you couldn’t have done it any better.”

There is never anything that is forever.

Except what was done for us at Calvary.

Is this trial part of Calvary?

Part of your salvation?

No.

Because it was FINISHED that day.

So, it won’t last.

Seasons end.

Trials end.

Darkness MUST give way to the light.
