Feelings are indicators not dictators

Feelings are not facts.

What you feel does not shape reality.

What you feel does not make it divine.

Jonah slept soundly in a boat sailing far from God’s command, a man at odds with heaven’s will, wrapped in rebellion’s quiet slumber.

“I have peace,” he might have said.

But was it peace?

Or was it the numbing silence of a dulled conscience,

a heart running from surrender,

a path of his own making veiled in the guise of righteousness?

Feelings whisper, they warn, they stir—

but they are not sovereign.

They are signs along the journey, not the compass.

Let them speak, but do not let them rule.

Discern their voice.

Seek the truth that surpasses emotion.

For the heart can lead astray,

but the truth of God’s Word is steadfast,

a lighthouse in the storm,

calling you home.
