Goodness and mercy

Psalms 23:6

“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.”

Goodness and mercy are like the shepherd's faithful sheepdogs, forever at our heels, faithfully watching over us. They move with grace, unseen yet deeply felt, their presence like a gentle wind that whispers across our lives. Goodness strides forward with a heart full of light, smoothing the rough terrain, lifting us up when we stumble, and planting seeds of hope in the soil of our sorrow. Mercy, tender and fierce, wraps us in its arms, quieting the storms within, covering our missteps with forgiveness. Together, they are relentless, unyielding in their pursuit, following us not as distant shadows but as loyal companions, woven into the very fabric of our journey. They guard our every step, whether we walk in the brilliance of the noonday sun or tread through the deepest valleys. Through every season of life, they remain—steadfast, eternal, carrying us with quiet strength, reminding us that we are never alone, never forgotten. Their love is the shepherd’s promise, a divine covenant that we are held, protected, and cherished all the days of our lives.
