He broke his own heart so that he could mend yours

“Jesus treated Judas so well

that none of his disciples were able to detect that it was Judas who would betray him—

now that's what I call loving you enemies.”

They had no clue that it was Judas.

When Jesus washed feet, he knelt before Judas just the same as all the rest.

He fed him the last supper, just the same as the rest.

He knew that it would be Judas, from the start.

But he still loved him.

He still treated him the same.

Because he knew we would have our hearts broken, our souls betrayed by people we love.

And he knew he had to set the example for us to follow. He knew our hearts would be broken down the road, so he allowed his to be broken over and over again, so we would never walk through anything alone.

We would never face an emotion that he hasn’t already faced for us.

He broke his own heart, so he could mend yours🤍
