Psalms 147:4

“He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names.”

Matthew 10:29-31

“Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

Stars are beautiful, and he calls each of them by their names.

Yet they are balls of gas and fire.

They’re a mess.

Up close, they are not aesthetic.

Yet he calls them all by their names.

The birds, are beautiful and he has never missed a funeral. Their songs of praise don’t really make sense, there is no melody. But their “lack of talent” does not hold him back from attending every funeral, even for a simple sparrow.

They continue on, and he continues to love them.

And how much the more does he love and treasure YOU!? I would’ve chosen the stars, he already knows their names. They’re simple, and easy to love. But he chose you to create in his image. Your life may feel like a mess, or broken pieces, or something that simply doesn’t make a lot of sense today.

But he created so many imperfections in our universe, so that we would be reminded that no one is perfect, save the Lamb. But he still chose you. Out of all of his creation, he chose mankind to redeem.

He calls the stars by name.

Yet he made you and chose to redeem you.

We probably would’ve chosen the stars.

But he chose you at Calvary.

And that hasn’t changed. You don’t have to be perfect, you don’t have to have it together. None of his creation really does. Yet he’s never missed a sparrow’s funeral.

Because he knows.

And he welcomes you in.

The veil was torn for you, so you and all that ails your heart, could come in.

He calls the stars by name.

But he calls you his child🤍

He doesn’t underdeliver

There has not been a chapter of my life—no valley too low, no mountaintop too high—that hasn’t whispered this truth back to me: God is exactly as good as the Bible says He is. Not just on the days whe

Jesus wins

I’ve heard it my whole life. Jesus always wins. It’s stitched into memory like an old Sunday school banner. Echoed in sermons. Sung in songs. But today? Today I don’t feel like I’m on the winning side

I can see him

I used to believe that walking with God meant having some sort of map, if not the full route, at least the next step, the next door, the next green light. But now? I am standing in the fog. Everything
