Psalms 46:1-3

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.”

*Jesus, be near.*

I’ve heard that a lot over the past week…

As if somehow, the very Lord who holds the world in His hands had drifted to the edges of our pain. As if the Savior, who is called Emmanuel—God with us—needed to be asked to come closer. As if He were distracted, standing at a distance, unaware of the weight you’re under.

But, dear one, the truth is this: *Jesus IS near.* He is nearer than your breath, closer than your heartbeat. He is not far off, waiting to be invited into the dark corners of your struggle. He *dwells* with you. He always has.

The same Jesus who wept in the garden, who felt the full weight of agony, is weeping with you now, holding the full weight of your burdens, your brokenness. He is not watching from a distance; He is walking every painful step with you, carrying what you think is too much to bear.

*Jesus, be near.*

No, dear one, hear this truth: *Jesus is already here.* Right in the thick of it. He is not waiting at the edges of your storm, nor is He indifferent to your suffering. He does not need to be summoned like a reluctant helper. To think of Him as far off would mean asking Him to alter His very nature, His character, His unwavering faithfulness.

He would have to change who He is to be anything other than near. And Jesus doesn’t change.

He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. The One who promised never to leave you, never to forsake you, hasn’t forgotten you for a second. He is here, sitting in the silence when words fail you, in the confusion when nothing makes sense, in the hurt when the world feels too sharp.

He is holding you. He has been all along.

*Jesus be near*

He already is🤍

He doesn’t underdeliver

There has not been a chapter of my life—no valley too low, no mountaintop too high—that hasn’t whispered this truth back to me: God is exactly as good as the Bible says He is. Not just on the days whe

Jesus wins

I’ve heard it my whole life. Jesus always wins. It’s stitched into memory like an old Sunday school banner. Echoed in sermons. Sung in songs. But today? Today I don’t feel like I’m on the winning side

I can see him

I used to believe that walking with God meant having some sort of map, if not the full route, at least the next step, the next door, the next green light. But now? I am standing in the fog. Everything
