Jesus is not an accessory for agendas

“Jesus never said the word abortion.”

That’s true, yet his every act and word bore witness to life. He is the giver of life, the one who came to offer it fully and abundantly. Scripture overflows with his love for children; he cherished them, blessed them, and welcomed them into his arms. He himself entered this world as a child.

Consider John the Baptist, leaping in his mother’s womb at the mere presence of Jesus. How could a God who welcomed worship from the unborn ever condone their destruction? How could a Savior who came to bring life to its fullest be for the death of the innocent? The one who said, ‘Suffer the little children to come unto to me’ would never bless the dismembering of their tiny bodies.

Jesus didn’t need to say the word. His resurrection of Lazarus, his embrace of the outcast, his healing of the broken—all tell us of a Savior who cherishes life. You cannot mold him to fit your views or make him a passive bystander to the suffering of the vulnerable. He is not a casual friend or an accessory to agendas; he is the Holy Savior, unchanging, and he came to give life—not take it.
