Manna

Manna.

They woke up in the middle of a wilderness, and sweetness from heaven covered the ground.

Not only was it provision for their hunger.

It was sweet.

And there isn’t much that is sweet in a wilderness.

There was always plenty for everyone.

No one went hungry.

The Lord provided above and beyond.

They woke up every morning and there it was again, fresh. They never had to eat leftovers.

Fresh manna from his hand to their table.

However, they began to take the sweet provision for granted. They began to wake up in the morning and grumble over the sweet things that the Lord left them, FRESH from his hand.

They became used to the sweet things from the Lord, to the point that they complained. They were no longer satisfied because they constantly were distracted by what they DID NOT have in this wilderness.

Don’t let the wilderness blind you to the manna.

Something so sweet, so faithfully provided, straight from his hand to you.

Don’t take it for granted.

Don’t let the wilderness steal the joy of the manna from you.

This season is not forever, you will leave the wilderness. But until then, don’t despise the manna that is so faithfully provided for you.

If you’re not careful, you’ll complain about the sweet things from heaven, because all you see is the wilderness instead of Manna straight from glory.

Don’t take sweet things for granted.
