Silence

Forgive me, Lord, for every time I sat still at a table You would have overturned—too afraid to cause a scene, too willing to sit in silence.

Silence in the face of darkness is its own form of evil.

To stay quiet is to choose complicity.

To stand idle is to take a side.

Let me not face my children’s eyes, searching for reasons why I chose comfort over courage, popularity over purpose. Why I let the weight of silence press harder on their shoulders just to keep my world untouched.

Teach me, Lord, to turn the tables boldly—without fear of the uproar or the judgment—if it means sparing them the burden of my quiet.

For their sake, may I never choose silence when Your truth demands a voice.
