Deuteronomy 7:9

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;”

You don’t have to understand the why when your heart knows the Who.

Why is this happening to me?

The Who holds you steady even as the storm rages.

Why are they treating me so cruelly?

The Who sees it all and keeps the score.

Why must I be so broken?

The Who is near to the shattered heart, binding it with tenderness.

Why does my soul carry this unrelenting grief?

The Who gently lifts your head, reminding you to hope.

Our hearts ache for answers, searching the silence for meaning.

And when the silence stretches long, frustration rises like a tide.

But perhaps it is not the why we are meant to cling to,

But the unshakable truth of the Who.

Jesus walked among us, questioned at every turn.

He rarely gave reasons, but He always gave Himself.

He never explained every pain, but He never withheld His power, His presence, His love.

The why may remain a mystery,

But the Who is your certainty.

Rest in that truth.

When the questions overwhelm,

Lift your eyes from the chaos of the why

And fix them on the unending beauty of the Who.🤍
