Two wrongs don’t make a right

Two wrongs have never made a right.

We’ve heard it said a thousand times, but when the wounds are fresh, it’s hard to hold onto truth.

“But they hurt me. They were wrong to me.”

Yes. They were.

And the pain is real. The betrayal stings. The injustice cuts deep.

But don’t let their wrong make you wrong.

Don’t let the weight of what they’ve done pull you into the darkness they created.

You were never meant to carry their sin as your own, and add your own on top of it.

What has been done to you is not greater than what has been done for you.

Jesus bore the cross so you wouldn’t have to bear the burden of bitterness.

He took the nails so you could walk in freedom, not in chains of resentment.

His love is louder than their cruelty. His mercy is stronger than their malice.

Let His grace be greater.

Let His healing be deeper.

Let His sacrifice be enough.
