You are the Healer when I need a touch

Psalm 147:3

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”

Bindeth up-healer, gird, govern(to be the ruler over, to have all power over, dominion)

Not only is he your healer, but he governs over your wounds…meaning he is greater than them.

There is no wound that is too deep, too big, too traumatic that he cannot heal. He is greater, he has all power over your wound. And he is not at all worried about whether or not this wound may be a little too deep for him.

He was wounded for you, so that he could heal all in you.

He is not troubled by the messy parts of healing.

If your wound is deep, his love runs deeper still. If it’s fresh, he is the balm of Gilead. He does not mar, he makes whole.

You can trust him with your wounds.

But he cannot govern your wounds if he is not allowed to govern YOU.

The only limit to your healing is you.

So many of us have unhealed wounds because we refuse to allow the Lord to govern us, to be in control, to have all power over.

Of course we want the healing, but we don’t want to be governed ourselves.

You cannot expect the Lord to rule over only what you have marked out for him to rule.

He is a ruler of all of not at all.

If you want him to show his power with your wounds, let him show his power in YOU.

There is healing available, all you have to do is untie his hands, and give him the freedom to work and move and GOVERN.
